Danube Pearl – Hungarian Cultural Exhibition

My second exhibition in China was opened on July 30, 2024 in the city of Guiyang which is the centre of Guizhou Province in South-China. The exhibition organized jointly by the Beijing Liszt Institute and MNB Arts titled Danube Pearl – Hungarian Cultural Exhibition takes place in the Guizhou Provincial Museum of the city.

 

The Danube Pearl exhibition consist of three parts. First part is an exhibition of the Hungarian Money Museum presenting Hungarian ancient coins and paper money of our days. The second part offers an insight of the Arnold Gross copperplate engravings of MNB Art while the third part ls my The Year of the Dragon exhibition brought over from Beijing.

 

The exhibition was opened by Marta Matrai, Mayor of the Hungarian National Assembly while Chine was represented by Mr. Sang Weiliang, deputy director of the People’s Congress of Guizhou Province and Xiao Xiangyang, director of the Foreign Affaires Committee of the People’s Congress of Guizhou Province accompanied by Mr. Balint Czegel, Hungary’s General Consul in Chongqing. Amont the participants there were Ms. Anna Lujza Honecz, director of the Beijing Liszt Institute and also Peter Bozo, CEO of MNB arts. Wem unfortunately did not have the opportunity to be there.
