Womanext Business Academy, Debrecen, 2024

World premiere of my picture Year of the Dragon

The story started on the Spring Stampex Exhibition last May. We participated already on a Stampex Phare and Exhibition in London in the year of 2019. Since covid Stampex has several times been organized as an online event. The request to present my pictures, my art to interested people in an online round table discussion was received from the organizers, The
Philatelic Traders’ Society. We met also Jack on this discussion, or more officially Jack Zhang, a famous philatelist and businessmen living in London who is the member of the Board of the Royal Philatelic Society as well. He did like my pictures and suggested to present them in China too.

At this point we contacted the Beijing team of the Liszt Institute who supported this idea and proposed to have my exhibition among the events organized in the series of events to commemorate the 75 th anniversary of the starting of the Sino-Hungarian diplomatic relations. It is already a tradition to make a dedicated picture to each of my exhibitions. This time this picture’s title is Year of the Dragon.
.
The manager of the Beijing Liszt Institute Anna Luise Honecz helped me to pick the topic. She drew my attention to the fact that February 10, 2024 is an important day in China as the Year of the Dragon starts this day. This picture figures not only the year of the Dragon but all twelve cycles of the Chines calendar.

Our intention was to present this picture to the Debrecen audience before taking it to China. Eventually we received an invitation from Gyongyi Porkolab, manager of the Womanext Business Academy who knows my activity in art very well too.

The venue of the event on February 22 was the Mercure Hotel Debrecen. The program included not only the exhibition of the picture bit I had the opportunity by answering Gyongyi’s question before the audience to present myself too. The conversation can be listened to on Gyongyi’s youtube channel unfortunately in Hungarian only.

The premiere of the picture was a great success. Many people came to me in the breaks also to congratulate me. The mood of the event and the picture itself can be best felt by watching the pictures made
